My name is Kyungmin Oh from Changwon, South Korea.

I began my journey as a judo athlete. For many years, I believed I understood what martial arts truly meant. But everything changed the moment I encountered Gongkwon Yusul.

That first experience is still vivid in my mind. It was not just surprising. It was a fresh shock. I discovered something structured, dynamic, and unexpectedly beautiful. I could not believe that such a refined and complete martial art existed in Korea, and yet I had not seen it before.

The decision I made afterward was not easy. I closed my judo school and chose to open a Gongkwon Yusul dojang. Many people questioned that decision, but I knew I had found something special. Something with depth, potential, and a future.

I traveled constantly between Changwon and Seoul, dedicating myself to learning, refining, and understanding the system. It was not convenient, and it was not comfortable. But it was worth everything.

Today, I operate five dojangs and train many students as a head instructor. What once felt like a risk has now become a reality. Students are growing, communities are forming, and the system continues to expand.
